I love Fall for so many reasons. One being the freshest of tree fruits right around the corner from my home. I went apple picking this weekend and it reminded me of this quote from an unknown author:
“Women are like apples on trees, the best ones are on the top of the tree. The men don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and don’t want to get hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren’t so good but easy. So, the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top because they value quality.”
There is nothing wrong with you, darling! Think of it this way…
(as you’re wondering “why am I still single???”), each of you are on your own journeys – maybe sampling other apples along the way or allowing yourself the time to ripen to your most awesome self. What matters most is how you feel about you. If you feel like the rotten apple someone is going to come along and treat you like a rotten apple (or you’ll settle for being treated less than what you deserve).
So, what to do while you’re each traveling along your own apple trail? Continue on your journey, living your life to the fullest, enjoy your friends, have adventures, taste some fruit and wine along the way – you’ll have something to share and talk about when you meet that (wo)man. And have Faith knowing the both of you are on your way to finding one another and when you do, you’ll know it was all worth the wait!
