For many years I lived the “American Dream” – corporate job, car, house, vacations, engagement.
I had all the things and wondered “is this it??”
It was like I climbed a mountain for hours, finally reached a peak and there was no view. WTF?!?
I was also unhappy and overweight.
Without any evidence around me, I knew there had to be more to life than working 8-5, coming home to dinner, TV, bed and repeat.
I made some choices that went outside the zone of comfort and against status quo.
I ended the engagement and left the corporate job.
I followed the inner voice. I took risks and made scary choices.
It was scary and exhilarating at the same time.
I’ve done it over and over and over again and life just keeps getting better and better and better.
By MY STANDARDS and it’s all been worth it.
