‘Tis the season of self-care

Taking care of your body by being mindful of what you put into it will help keep your energy high, your emotions lifted, and have you glowing all over!

When you feel good on the inside it shows on the outside.

With the busy-ness of the holidays and many celebrations to attend (aren’t you lucky?), you’ll want to be sure you’re enjoying yourself and not feeling deprived (or suffering from holiday hang-over).

Here are a few things to “add in” to help keep your body & mind in balance:
* Drink more water – this helps flush out toxins (sugars, fats, alcohol)
* Add in dark, leafy greens – kale is my favorite
* Create intentions before you head out – what you’ll eat, how much you’ll drink, when you desire to be home
* Drink a glass of water between celebratory beverages
* Enjoy garlic and onions! (except when you’re on a date 😉 – They’re good for fighting off colds.
* Suggested supplements – Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin D (D -for those of us who don’t get a lot of sun now), and a whole food daily vitamin to ensure you’re getting what your body needs (Check with your doctor or health care physician first!)
* Dance! at the party or in your kitchen – doesn’t matter, just move your body

It’s easy to get caught up in the busy-ness and forget to take care of ourselves in this kind of way or to push self-care to the side, but when you take care of you, you’ll be feeling happy, energized, and healthy through the season!
